For Aisha, her KFC story began before she was even born. Her parents met while working at KFC, and her mother—who still works for the brand today as an area coach—gifted Aisha the nickname of “KFC baby”, which she still goes by today.

So when this KFC baby turned 16 and was looking for a job, it was no surprise that she applied to her local KFC in Bridgewater, MA. Three years later, she’s still there—growing her skills, serving her community, and building toward her future.

Earlier this year, Aisha was one of 430 KFC restaurant employees across the U.S. to receive a KFC Foundation scholarship. She was awarded $10,000 to attend the University of Massachusetts–Boston, where she’s pursing her lifelong dream of becoming a nurse.

“Nursing is how I plan to help others,” Aisha said. “I’ve always known I wanted to devote my life to caring for people, and ever since I was twelve years old, I knew that I would become a nurse.”

As a first-generation college student and one of seven siblings, Aisha has seen firsthand the sacrifices her parents make to support their family. She’s determined to ease their financial burden, make them proud, and dedicate her career to easing the pain of others.

Her drive comes from more than just ambition—it’s rooted in the values she’s grown up with: compassion, hard work, and community.

Since 2012, the KFC Foundation has awarded more than $21 million in scholarships to over 7,500 KFC team members pursuing their educational goals. For Aisha, that support means more than financial help—it’s the opportunity to turn a lifelong dream into reality, one patient, one act of care, and one life changed at a time.
