The KFC Foundation is awarding $250,000 in grants to 25 community-based non-profit organization projects focused on caring for the environment and animals. Kentucky Fried Wishes, one of the KFC Foundation’s community giving programs, invites non-profit organizations to apply for a grant to fund a project on their wish list. This year, the KFC Foundation will fund $1 million in Kentucky Fried Wishes to 100 non-profits nationwide, with grants awarded quarterly based on different project categories.

This cycle’s grant recipients span over several different states and support a variety of causes and communities, including:

Equine-Assisted Therapy, located in Wildwood, MO, provides horsemanship experiences to persons with mental, physical, and psychological challenges, enhancing the quality of their lives. With their Kentucky Fried Wishes grant, they will purchase and care for two new therapy horses, increasing the non-profit’s capacity to serve more individuals in need.

Friends of the Animal Village, located in Little Rock, AK, provides financial and promotional support to its local shelter, the Little Rock Animal Village, boosting awareness and adoptions. With the support of their Kentucky Fried Wishes grant, they will renovate outdoor spaces to help the shelter care for more animals during colder months.

Kentucky Humane Society, located in Louisville, KY, is a champion for companion animals and the state’s largest pet adoption agency. Their Kentucky Fried Wishes project is to construct a training course for horses and Women Warriors (women veterans, first responders, and female members of veterans) at their Willow Hope Farm, fostering trust, confidence, and healing between humans and animals.

Kentucky Fried Wishes, Cycle 3, grant recipients:

Kentucky Fried Wishes is just one way the KFC Foundation supports, empowers, and serves joy to KFC restaurant employees and communities. The KFC Foundation also provides programs focused on education, financial literacy, and hardship assistance for KFC restaurant employees, as well as a food donation program to fight hunger and food waste.

The next Kentucky Fried Wishes grant cycle will open in early 2025. Non-profit organizations seeking funding for a project can learn more and apply for a grant at kfcfoundation.org/wishes.
