FAQs
What does the program cover?
The Education Assistance Program provides $5,000 in upfront tuition each academic year (August 1–July 31) to eligible KFC restaurant employees. You can use this coverage toward over 1,000 online programs from a wide range of schools and education providers, and you do not have to pay back the tuition assistance you use. The program also includes up to $600 for books and $100 for fees. You will be responsible for any book or fee costs above those amounts.
What schools can I attend through this program?
The covered education providers include Arizona State University, ed2go Career Training, Franklin University, Indiana Tech, and more!
What happens if I leave KFC?
If you’re enrolled in classes when you leave KFC, you can finish the courses you already started. After that, you will no longer be able to use the Education Assistance Program for future terms or courses. You can still continue your program with your school, but you will be responsible for future tuition costs.
What if I’m already in a degree program elsewhere?
If you’re already enrolled in a degree program elsewhere, you may be able to continue your progress through learning options covered by this program. Schedule time with a Personal Education Advisor for one-on-one support to help you find programs that match what you’ve already completed and make the most of your education assistance.
What happens if I drop out or withdraw after being approved?
If a student drops out or withdraws after being approved, they are eligible to apply again if they are still employed.
How many hours do I need to work to be eligible?
There are no minimum hour requirements.
When does my $5,000 in education assistance reset?
Your education assistance resets annually on August 1, given you still meet eligibility requirements.
How do I know if my KFC participates in the KFC Foundation’s Annual Donation Program?
